Rapper and music producer Kanye West deleted his X account after a Super Bowl rant about pop star Taylor Swift, thanking Elon Musk for allowing him to “vent” — a move that comes after previous controversy over antisemitic remarks on social media.
West, taking to X on Friday, fired off a slew of posts, which included the declaration, “love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi [sic],” according to the Independent. During the Super Bowl on Sunday, which featured Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, West unleashed a tirade about Swift, who was at the New Orleans Superdome cheering on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
Addressing what appears to be Lamar’s song, “Not Like Us,” West wrote: “IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE … WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE,” according to the Independent.
