Matt Murphy was born on September 1st 1973 in a small town outside of Augusta, Georgia. The world has known no peace nor quiet since.

The Matt Murphy Radio Show is the high powered, highly opinionated voice of North and Central Alabama. A special blend of political no-nonsense talk and entertaining water-cooler humor…Murphy appeals to all demographics. From their twenties to their eighties – Matt is an equal opportunity offender! His honed intellect and sharp wit turns Alabama’s sacred cows into mincemeat.

Not afraid to tell it like it is, Matt calls out leaders by name, challenges their positions and exposes corruption when he sees fit. He quickly took aim at the Birmingham and Alabama political scene after arriving in the state in 2000. Murphy invites disagreement…to the point of encouraging it! If a caller has a difference of opinion…to the FRONT of the line, but be warned…Murphy is ready to pounce, and does NOT suffer fools gladly. Now coming to Huntsville and Montgomery, politicians and shady types beware. Murphy is here to speak truth to power and protect the interest of the people.

Matt lives in Helena, AL with his wife Erica and their big ole hound dog, John Henry.

Healthy dialogue. Hard hitting commentary. A fresh exchange of ideas. The BACKBONE of Alabama Politics! The Matt Murphy Show. Mid-days across Alabama.
